On February 15, China Electrical Equipment Management Association released the list of 2021 national power industry projects with innovative achievements in equipment management. The Innovative Practice of Burning Coals Mixed with Solid Waste of Shoe Materials in the Coal-powder Boiler of a Large Power Station, a project of CR Power Luoyang Company, was elected and awarded the “First-Class Technical Project with Innovative Achievements”.

The project took the lead to burn the solid waste of shoe materials in the coal-powder boiler, being the first large power station in the country (2 x 630MW) fueling coals mixed with the solid waste of shoe materials, with an annual burning volume of over 10,000 tons, saving about RMB 3.7 million of cost in burning coals every year. It has made important contributions to further improving the regional ecological environment and achieving the goal of blue sky, lucid waters, and lush mountains.
