On August 5, Energy Bureau of Xilin Gol League issued a notification and agreed Xiyi Mine project to resume work, marking the critical moment of rebirth for Xiyi Mine after 15-year hard development and official entry in a new stage of construction.

The mine field covers 87.24km2, and the geological reserves are 1.678 billion tons. The designed recoverable reserves are 738 million tons and the designed productive capacity is 8 million tons/year. The inclined shaft development method is used, and the service life is 65.9 years.
