On May 13, CR Power Caofeidian Power Plant was selected into the first batch of carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) projects of Hebei Province, and relevant pilot work has been approved to be carried out.

In order to actively fulfill its social responsibilities undertaken as a leading central enterprise in Caofeidian, CR Power Caofeidian Power Plant with a total installed capacity of 2,600MW took the lead to commence the engineering construction of Caofeidian CCUS project. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Caofeidian Power Plant expects to carry out the construction of a CCUS project with an annual output of one million tons, and the chemical amine solution absorption method will be adopted.
