At 23:38 on November 28, the first batch of wind turbines of the Qinghai Gonghe 100MW Wind Power Project were successfully connected to the grid for power generation.

The Project, about 3,000 meters above sea level, is located in Tanggemu Town, about 60km northwest of Gonghe County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. It is designed to install 40 wind generating sets with a single capacity of 2.5MW.

Despite the Covid-19 outbreak, tide of wind power installation, tough living conditions on the plateau, the difficulty in construction organization, and the change of grid connection policy since the official commencement of construction on May 12, 2020, the project construction team completed the foundation casting of all wind turbines on August 28, successfully hoisted the first wind turbine on September 11, and was successful at the first attempt of reverse feed at 6:18am on November 26, presenting one after another Western China speeds. At 23:38 on November 28, the first batch of wind turbines of the Project were successfully connected to the grid.

Remaining wind turbines of the Project will be inspected in a down-to-earth manner to secure the project and safety of the Project and successfully complete the commissioning tasks, for the purpose of the transformation from the capital construction to operation of the Project.
