On June 5, Nanjing CR Thermal Power Co., Ltd. ("Banqiao Power Plant") won the title of the first batch of "Nanjing Eco-Civilization Education Base" at the publicity activity site of the 2020 "June 5" Environment Day in Nanjing.

In recent years, Banqiao Power Plant has fulfilled its low-carbon commitment, promoted energy conservation and environmental protection, and successively completed the desulfurization and capacity expansion transformation, SCR denitrification transformation, electric dust removal efficiency improvement transformation, ultra-low emission transformation, and coal yard wind block and dust suppression wall transformation, achieving ultra-low emission of soot, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, and effectively controlling the emission of unorganized particles. The project has passed the thirteenth batch of cleaner production audit and acceptance in Jiangsu Province, with the grading level of "Grade II", reaching the domestic advanced level. In 2019, Banqiao Power Plant was included in the list of the first batch of environmental protection trust protection enterprises in Nanjing and started to enjoy exemption from production suspension, production restriction and production reduction as well as policy support. As the "Nanjing Sludge Drying and Incineration Base", Banqiao Power Plant has been rated as "National Environmental Protection Service Industry & Industrial Innovation Alliance, Jiangsu Strategic Emerging Development Fund Demonstration Project" as a paragon for enterprises to learn from.

As the first batch of eco-civilization education bases in Nanjing, Banqiao Power Plant will deeply explore new methods of eco-civilization education, accumulate new experiences, give better play to the role of benchmark, demonstration and guidance, and make positive contributions to promoting and implementing President Xi Jinping's eco-civilization thought, helping to win the battle against pollution and promoting the construction of "innovative city and beautiful ancient capital".
