Guangzhou Project Awarded “Most Potential Science Popularization Resource Unit”

On October 13th, the 2019 National Science Day Guangzhou Science Carnival, led by Guangzhou Association for Science and Technology and organized by 8 units including Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, was held in Guangzhou International Media Harbor. Guangzhou China Resources Thermal Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as Guangzhou Project) was invited to participate in the exhibition to demonstrating the company’s achievements in transformation innovation and green development, and was awarded the honorary title of “Most Potential Science Popularization Resource Unit”.

 
Guangzhou Project set up a booth with the theme of “Green Development, Better Life”. Taking the topic of air pollution with high public concern as the entry point, they introduced the company’s work and achievements in energy conservation, environmental protection, transformation innovation, and science popularization education to the public through popular science exhibitions, professional explanations, visual publicity, and on-site Q&A, helping visitors understand the production process of thermal power plants and the unremitting efforts made by Guangzhou Project in energy conservation, emission reduction, clean production, and social welfare.


During the exhibition, Guangzhou Project sent Science Pioneer to participate in the “Science Storytelling” session, giving a speech with the topic of “Different Power Plants”, through which they shared their work achievements in environmental protection of the Guangzhou project, including ultra-low emissions and sludge coupling, as well as the innovative developments in green energy with the audience.


This Science Carnival, focusing on innovation, entrepreneurship, smart life, environmental protection, and cutting-edge technology, was divided into 8 exhibition areas to display the development and performance of scientific and technological achievements in fostering development and improving people’s livelihood. The event attracted hundreds of companies to participate in the exhibition and more than 3,000 people to visit on site.
