On May 9, Ji Lidong, Secretary General of Jiangsu Electric Power Industry Association, and his party went to Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park Thermal Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as Chemical Industrial Park Project) to conduct investigation and exchange on the upgrading and renovation by replacing liquid ammonia with urea. Jiang Yingjun, General Manager of Chemical Industrial Park Project, Zhang Xuyao, Deputy General Manager, and Tian Lin, Deputy General Manager of Banqiao Project, accompanied during the investigation.

At the investigation meeting, Secretary General Ji Lidong and his party listened to the respective ammonia zone design and renovation situation of Chemical Industrial Park Project and Banqiao Project, as well as their current work plans and arrangements for the upgrading and renovation by replacing liquid ammonia with urea. They also visited and investigated the practical situation of the ammonia zone of Chemical Industrial Park Project, during which the two sides exchanged ideas with an emphasis on the suggestions and demands for upgrading and renovation of liquid ammonia replacement.

Secretary General Ji affirmed the safe management in the ammonia zone of Chemical Industrial Park Project, and stressed that it was necessary to adhere to excellence and fully fulfill the responsibility of safe management in the ammonia zone to prevent liquid ammonia accidents before the replacement of liquid ammonia by urea was completed. General Manager Jiang Yingjun and Deputy General Manager Tian Lin said that Chemical Industrial Park Project and Banqiao Project would do a good job in the management and control of major hazard sources like liquid ammonia as always, focus on details, enhance safety acuity, and improve the management level of the ammonia zone with multiple measures. In the meantime, they would continuously follow up with the upgrading and renovation work of replacing liquid ammonia with urea, complete the closing research and carry out ammonia zone renovation as soon as possible.
