From April 8 to 12, Nuocheng Enterprise Consulting (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (referred to as Nuocheng Company) launched a five-day NOSA integrated star rating for occupational safety, health and environmental management of Guangzhou China Resources Thermal Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as Guangzhou Project). At the closing meeting, the review group announced that Guangzhou Project again passed the NOSA five-star assessment.
The assessment was divided into two stages: document review and on-site assessment. The expert group carefully reviewed 75 element files, communicated with persons in charge of each element on the spot, compared with the element questions raised by previous NOSA assessments, tracked as per the logic of planning, execution, inspection and improvement, as well as put forward advice and improvement requirements to responsible personel on the weakness of elements. Meanwhile, the expert group, together with the project company, was divided into three teams to conduct on-site EHS assessment and carry out comprehensive inspection and evaluation of on-site equipment, maintenance operations, personnel awareness, execution of “two notes”, as well as risk management and control.
The review group spoke highly of Guangzhou Project’s long-term attention to NOSA EHS system and recognized the staged achievements made in NOSA EHS work, and they also pointed out the shortcomings and offered feasible rectification suggestions in the meantime.
EHS management is the annual key work of the holding company and South China Region, as well as an important starting point for the EHS work of Guangzhou Project. Since passing the NOSA five-star assessment in 2016, Guangzhou Project has been continuously promoting the construction of NOSA EHS System, actively building an intrinsically safe enterprise, adhering to the concept of “people-oriented, risk pre-control, continuous improvement”, and advancing the construction of EHS intelligent information system, thus to realize the quantification of safety awareness, visualization of risk warning, and intelligentization of EHS management. Through the participation of all employees, the EHS culture has been deeply rooted in the hearts of people, and a safe, healthy, environmentally friendly and economical culture with Guangzhou CR characteristics has be established. At the same time, Guangzhou Project, with intelligent information technology, has been committed to creating an efficient, convenient and scientific EHS auxiliary system to provide a strong guarantee for the safe, stable and efficient operation of the unit.
This successful pass of the NOSA five-star assessment resulted from the joint efforts of all the people in Guangzhou project, including those from relevant parties, and it is a staged result of EHS management and control. Guangzhou Project must constantly stick to the concept of “people-oriented and continuous improvement”, promote EHS construction to a higher level, and strive to hit a new high in the future.
