On December 15, Merrille Goonetilleke, Deputy Secretary General of Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, visited China Resources Power Tangshan Fengrun Co., Ltd. (referred to as Fengrun Project) for investigation, accompanied by Ding Jie, General Manager of Fengrun Project.

Merrille Goonetilleke and his party listened to the introduction of CR Power and Fengrun Project, learned about the application of environmental protection measures and advanced technologies by the project company, and praised the construction and operation situation of Fengrun Project. He also said that beautiful, environmentally friendly and highly-efficient power plants are their role models, and this investigation had enhanced their confidence in China’s thermal power projects and promoted the friendship between the two sides. The two sides indicated that they should strengthen exchanges and study in future work, and make progress together.
