Hong Kong Kowloon Bus Charging Station Project undertaken by CR Power passed the software adaptation and trial operation of Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) on August 5, marking the successful completion of the project.
This is the first charging pile project of CR Power in Hong Kong, using European standard charging equipment. The scope of works is to set up a total of thirteen 200 kW double-head fast charging piles at four main stations of KMB, namely Lai Chi Kok Depot, Kowloon Bay Depot, Sha Tin Depot and Tuen Mun Depot. Considering the use scenario of KMB, high-power charging devices were selected to meet the project demand for high-speed recharging of electric buses, and software was customized for compatibility with KMB's existing vehicles of various models supplied from different sources in and out of China, to realize automatic identification of KMB's vehicles, ensure that only authorized vehicles are used, and bring more efficient and safer charging experience to KMB.
Following the strategy of China Resources Group to "Reshape Hong Kong Business", CR Power is actively exploring the Hong Kong market. KMB is a leading public transport enterprise in Hong Kong. CR Power expects to expand its brand effect in Hong Kong's transportation industry by the success of this project, and takes charging stations as a breakthrough point to vigorously promote the development of green transportation in Hong Kong. CR Power is looking forward to further exploring the Hong Kong market, tapping the potential of carbon reduction, promoting the development of green energy, and achieving zero carbon emissions in Hong Kong with higher standards and stricter requirements.
