On July 22, Guangdong New Energy Company and the People's Government of Pingyuan County, Meizhou City signed an investment cooperation framework agreement for the CRG-Pingyuan Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant project.

The project has a planned installed capacity of 1,200 MW, and its signing marks a significant breakthrough for Pingyuan County in accelerating the transformation and development of the county and attracting investments with full force.
