On July 10, the No.1 cooling tower cylinder of Xijiang Power Plant was capped safely and smoothly, reaching the milestone node of completing the whole structure, including the top, of the first tower.

The total engineering height of the No. 1 cooling tower of Xijiang Power Plant is 160.80 meters, with the wall of the tower being a reinforced concrete structure and of a thickness varying from 0.265 to 1.2 meters, and a total of 12,000 square meters of wall concrete. The wall construction of the cooling tower cylinder adopted the tripod turnover formwork construction method, while the personnel and materials were vertically transported by construction hoist and hydraulic jacking bridge. Yunfu Company will speed up the subsequent lifting and installation of the drenching components and the anti-corrosion work of the inner cylinder wall to ensure that the No. 1 cooling tower will be completed for water connection within the year.
