On May 18, CR Power North China Region and Mengyin County signed a Cooperation Agreement for Huapiling Pumped-storage Power Station Project.

Located in Duozhuang Town, Mengyin County, the core area of Yimeng Mountain Revolutionary Base, where the Battle of Mt Mengliang took place, it is a significant project of the national pumped-storage "14th Five-Year Plan" designed with an installed capacity of 1 million kW. After completion, it will mainly undertake the tasks of peak load regulation, load leveling, frequency modulation, phase modulation, energy storage, emergency standby, and black-start of the Shandong Power Grid.
