The "First National Carbon Neutrality and Green Development Conference" was held in Shenzhen from September 26 to 27. It was sponsored by the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences and organized by the Guangdong Provincial Society for Environmental Sciences. Xie Zhenhua, China's Special Envoy for Climate Change, Wang Yuqing, the former Deputy Director of State Environmental Protection Administration of China, Jiang Zhaoli, Deputy Director-General, Climate Change Department, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and relevant leaders from the Department of Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province addressed the conference.

Invited by the Environmental Engineering Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment to speak at the sub-venue of "Carbon Emission Reduction Countermeasures and Treatment Technologies in Key Industries under the Carbon Neutrality Goal," Hu Liming, operation director of China Resources Power Carbon Technology, shared China Resources Power's experiences with the guests in constructing the pilot and demonstration CCUS test platform, as well as the preliminary progress of China's upcoming first million-ton-level CCUS full-process demonstration project in the power industry. According to him, conducting CCUS research throughout the whole industry chain is a new objective and action for China Resources Group in pursuit of carbon neutrality. He also urged new domestic and international technical and commercial partners to join the project, ensuring its seamless execution and assisting the Greater Bay Area and the whole country in achieving the carbon-neutral objective at the earliest moment.

The conference arranged 15 sub-venues and several academic activities, covering policy, market, investment, technology and other aspects. Aiming at carbon neutrality, a group of prominent academicians, experts, and scholars made keynote reports on the management of setting the carbon peak path and reducing pollution in coordination with carbon reduction, among other things. Jiang Hongqi, Assistant General Manager of CR Power Haifeng Company, Liu Yinglun, a Member of the Party Committee of the company, and related personnel from Runtan Technology Co., Ltd. attended the conference.
