At 17:00 on August 11, CR Power Jinzhou Company witnessed that the No. 2 Unit attached to 2×660MW cogeneration project passed the 168-hour full-load test run and was officially put into commercial service.

Jinzhou Company was founded in 1977. According to the national environmental protection policy and the task of "energy conservation and emission reduction" arranged by Liaoning Province, the Company launched the rectification work of "setting up the large units & shutting down the small units" in 2007. To this end, the six 200MW straight condensing turbine generator units were all shut down in September 2013. In December 2015, the newly-built "heating unit renovated from straight condensing turbine generator unit" was approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission for its optimization and adjustment. What we call newly-built units are two 660MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation and heating units, which would have an annual production capacity of 6.4 billion kilowatt-hours after into service, and would supply a clean heat source for Jinzhou city and surrounding areas. The project will run at the same time to construct high-efficiency dust removal, desulfurization, and denitrification facilities to ensure ultra-low emissions at all times. Such practice demonstrates the philosophy of CR Power to fulfill its social responsibility and promote green development. It is of positive significance to improve the environmental quality of Jinzhou area, implement energy conservation and emission reduction targets, to help "maintain stable growth, make structural adjustments", and promote a new round of revitalization in Liaoning.
