At the 2019 Award Ceremony of BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards held on October 5 in Hong Kong, CR Power's Haifeng Power Plant won the silver award for manufacturing.

The BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards jointly organized by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and Bank of China (Hong Kong) aim to encourage enterprises engaged in manufacturing and service industries in Hong Kong and the Pan-Pearl River Delta to implement environmental protection measures, and promote environmental protection and carbon reduction. Haifeng Power Plant was one of the 13 award-winning enterprises selected from 761 enterprises. In 2019, Haifeng Power Plant officially put into production the world’s third and Asia’s first testing platform for multi-thread carbon capture technology based on the ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant, and coupled with mixed-burning of 340,000 tons of municipal sludge, ranking first in terms of the annual sludge mixed-burning amount of the thermal power plant in Guangdong and even the whole country.
