At 18:18 on June 9, the 168-hour trial operation of Unit 4 of CR Power (Tangshan Caofeidian) Co., Ltd. ("Caofeidian Power Plant") came to a successful end. The double machines of the Million-level Project (Phase II) were put into production, marking that the project entered a new stage of production and operation.

Caofeidian Power Plant (Phase II) is the first million-level generating units project in Hebei Province, which was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission on December 16, 2014. The project used a series of key technologies and equipment, such as ultra-low back pressure with five cylinders and six exhausts that the domestic thermal power industry has never seen before, energy conservation and efficiency improvement in the full-load section of the unit, high efficiency and clean coal-fired power generation, etc. The designed coal consumption for power supply of the unit is less than 263g/kWh, and the coal consumption for power supply as a primary reheating unit is superior to that of the domestic secondary reheating units of the same period, setting a new record in China. In terms of environmental protection, the coordinated application of desulfurization and dust removal integration, full-load denitration and other technologies can better help the project to achieve "ultra-low emission". The project cost was effectively controlled and the performance indexes met the expectations when the project was put into production. In other words, the concept of "construction is operation" was well implemented.
