On September 26th, Jiangsu Power Industry Association issued the “Decision on Commending Energy Efficiency Level Benchmarking Power Plants and Units in the Power Industry of Jiangsu”. Xuzhou China Resources Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as Xuzhou Project) was awarded the title of “Benchmarking Power Plant”. The #6 unit of Tongshan China Resources Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as Tongshan Project), #1 unit of China Resources Power (Changshu) Co., Ltd. (referred to as Changshu Project), #2 unit of Nanjing Chemical Industry Park Thermal Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as Chemical Park Project), and #3 unit of Xuzhou Project were awarded the title of “Benchmarking Unit”.

In 2018, Jiangsu Region actively carried out benchmarking management and made energy conservation and emission reduction one of the key work of annual production and operation. Xuzhou/Tongshan Project launched a combustion optimization adjustment model based on the integrated application of OOS (Operation Optimization System) and FOS (Fuel Full Value Optimization System), carried out the transformation of multi-variable coordinated control system, reduced the throttling loss of high pressure control valve, increased the economic operation level, implemented the three-base management, and strived to reduce energy consumption index on the basis of long-term stable operation. Changshu Project had good economic performance indicators and excellent safety indicators all year round. The #1 unit completed two 200-day long-term continuous operations, and the environmental protection has achieved zero assessment throughout the year. Chemical Park Project used CSASS, OOS, FOS and other system platforms to improve the energy-saving benchmarking mechanism, tap the energy-saving potential of the unit, and comprehensively increased the unit operating economy and energy utilization efficiency.

These awards are full affirmation of Jiangsu’s power industry to the achievements made by Jiangsu Region in energy saving, consumption reduction, safe production and technological transformation. The Region will take this as an opportunity to vigorously advocate energy conservation and consumption reduction, improve quality and efficiency, and help to booster high-quality development in the industry and in this region.
