At 0:00 on September 23rd, the Energy Storage Joint Frequency Modulation Project of Hunan China Resources Power Liyujiang Co., Ltd. (referred to as Liyujiang Project) was officially put into commercial operation after 30 days’ continuous frequency modulation test run.
This project built a new 12MW/6MWh lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage frequency modulation system with 14 30-foot containers. The system adopts the Lingxi Energy Management System (LEMS) independently developed by CR Power Smart Energy Co., Ltd. The combined frequency modulation performance and mileage have been significantly improved after being put into operation.
As the first energy storage frequency modulation project independently invested, constructed, operated and maintained by the power plant in China, this project has been the first application of the energy storage combined frequency modulation system in the southern power grid direct-modulation unit as well as to the plant-level AGC frequency modulation mode. After the project being put into operation, it will help to improve the competitiveness of the company in the frequency modulation market, create profit growth points, and promote business model innovation.
