On July 3, 35 teachers and students from the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Southern University of Science and Technology came to Guangzhou China Resources Thermal Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Guangzhou Project) to carry out social practice activities in environmental protection.

Under the leadership of professional technical personnel, the teachers and students visited production areas such as centralized control room and the “ultra-low emission” equipment to learn about the production process, maintenance safety management, technological principles of green environment protection, and requirements of environmental policy of thermal power plants through physical contact and staff explanations.

After the visit, the students highly praised the clean factory, green ecological environment and active fulfillment of social responsibility of Guangzhou Project. They said that through this practice, they felt that Guangzhou Project was a modern green power plant with highly-efficient energy saving and environmental protection, advanced technology management and resource recycling, which deepened the understanding of their majors.
The School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Southern University of Science and Technology has arranged environmental protection social practice for students to go to Guangzhou Project for two consecutive years. In the future, Guangzhou Project will base in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, improve technological innovation level, promote innovative employment of college students, publicize the development concept of CR Power’s green environmental protection, and enhance the influence of CR’s brand in the region.
