At 9:58 of November 11, the Unit # 1 of Xilingol Power Plant of CR Power successfully passed the 168-hour full load trial operation, marking that the first extra-high voltage external coal power transmission unit of CR Power was successfully put into production.

 
Xilingol Power Plant, located at the Xilingol League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is the supporting power project of the Xilingol League-Shandong 1,000 kV high voltage AC transmission channel. Two 660 MW Ultra-supercritical indirect air-cooled coal-fired generating units are planned to be constructed for Phase 1 of the project. On June 11, 2019, Xilingol Power Plant and the 8-million-ton coal mine project of Xilingol were jointly included into the first batch of coal and power joint operation projects to be mainly promoted of the State. Recently, the 8-million-ton coal mine project of Xilingol has passed the technical review of environmental influence report.

 
During the trial operation of Unit # 1, the cumulative power generation quantity was nearly 111 million kWh, with the average load of 660.24 MW and load rate of 100.04%; thermal automation and host protection input rate was 100%, and the input rate of electric protection and automation devices and major instruments was 100%; all the parameters reached set values, and major technical indicators such as steam-water quality, turbine vibration, vacuum tightness and turbine heat consumption were excellent; the input rate of electric precipitation, denitration and desulfuration devices was 100%, and all environmental protection indicators were superior to the State's ultra-low emission standards; and, major economic and technical indicators reached the State's quality standards.

The smooth operation of Unit # 1 of Xilingol Power Plant, as the first extra-high voltage external transmission project of CR Power, will effectively ease the power supply pressure in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and Shandong, play an important role in the State's smooth implementation of the Action Plan on Air Pollution Prevention and Control, improvement of air quality in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and Shandong and adjustment and optimization of energy production distribution, and make active contributions to prosperous economic and social development and protection of blue sky and green water of places.
