Beijing, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- On November 1, the Zhangbei agricultural product consumption poverty alleviation activities sported by the Industry and Information Bureau of Zhangbei County -- Activities on the Entry of Zhangbei Oat Noodle Culture into Canteens were held in Beijing. On the date of the activities, relevant leaders of Zhangbei County and CR Power were present. Through a series of creative activities such as on-site cuisine preparation and experience and the presentation of Zhangbei lasting 5 days, employees had an intimate contact with Zhangbei oat noodle culture.

 
On the site of the activities, Chang Haihong, deputy general manager of the great area of North China of CR Power, read out the proposal titled "Targeted Poverty Alleviation, Assistance in Zhangbei". It is mentioned in the proposal: By focusing on poverty alleviation targets in the period of the "13th Five-year" Plan, enterprises, public institutions, group organizations, charitable institutions and individuals are encouraged to devote to poverty alleviation cause and strive to establish the great poverty alleviation pattern with emphasis by leaders, leadership of organs, actions of enterprises and participation of all walks of life. Employees of the great area of North China of CR Power actively responded to the State's call of precise poverty alleviation, adhered to principles of "red central enterprise, precise poverty alleviation, assistance in Zhangbei and economic development", fulfilled social responsibilities of central enterprise, helped with the publicity of Zhangbei culture in combination with poverty alleviation strategies of China Resources Group, promoted the launch of local agricultural products, helped Zhangbei with poverty alleviation by actual actions, and contributed to the poverty alleviation and income increase of local masses.

 
In recent years, the Party Committee and People's Government of Zhangbei, as a national-level poverty-stricken county and one of ten deep poverty-stricken county of Hebei, has been taking the fight against poverty as a major political task and the first livelihood project, generally grasping the overall situation of economic and social development by poverty alleviation, taking well-targeted steps and implementing policies comprehensively, and has made phased achievements in terms of poverty alleviation. As at the end of 2018, the whole county has recorded 37,053 households with accounts and cards established, comprising 66,619 persons; 4,500 households, comprising 8,114 persons, have not got rid of poverty, with the poverty incidence of 2.79%. In 2019, 3,552 households, comprising 6,270 persons, will get rid of poverty with a high quality, with the poverty incidence down to 0.64%.

 
In view of the actual problem, how to help poverty-stricken masses get rid of poverty and increase income, the Party Committee and the People's Government of Zhangbei County have never stopped exploration. The consumption poverty alleviation cards were established for the purpose of helping local agricultural specialties go out of Zhangbei and to everywhere of China and practically enhancing the market awareness and reputation of quality agricultural specialties of Zhangbei, by virtue of the cooperation between the government and enterprises and commercial operation. Meanwhile, the publicity and promotion of local brands were intensified, and all walks of life were guided to purchase local quality agricultural products of Zhangbei, so as to achieve the ultimate purpose of helping poverty-stricken people get rid of poverty and increase income.
