At 18:18 on April 25, the 168-hour full-load trial operation of the # 3 units in phase II project of Caofeidian Power Plant of CR Power was completed successfully, marking the smooth start-up of the coal-fired power units with the world's lowest-designed energy consumption and the entry of data tests at a new stage. Deputy secretary of the municipal Party committee and mayor of Tangshan City Ding Xiufeng, and secretary of the Party committee of CR Power and president Hu Min attended the ceremony and delivered their speeches.

The # 3 units of Caofeidian Power Plant, located in the Caofeidian Industrial Zone of Tangshan City, are the first 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power units in Hebei Province. As a key practical project for the deepened strategic cooperation between China Resources Group and Hebei Province, after its entry into operation, this project will provide important power energy support for the Circum-Bohai Sea Economic Zone, effectively alleviate the power shortage in North China, and better promote the rapid and healthy development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
