"Clean-New-White" Million-level Thermal Power Unit Undertaken by China Energy Engineering Group Anhui No.1 Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. Put into Operation

On April 25, Hebei Province's first million-level thermal power unit-CR Power Caofeidian Power Plant Phase II 2 1-Million-kW Ultra-Supercritical Coal-fired Generating Unit Project Unit 3, undertaken by China Energy Engineering Group Anhui No.1 Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd., was put into operation after successfully passing 168-hour full-capacity trial operation. The "clean-new-white" coal-fired power unit is supplying sufficient electric energy to the Bohai Rim Economic Circle, adding impetus to the economic construction and high-quality development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.


Since it was connected to the grid on March 24 to the end of 168-hour full-capacity trial operation, the unit has maintained continuous and stable operation without interruption. During the full-capacity trial operation, the main technology and performance indexes were excellent. The thermal control protection input rate, the automatic input rate and the main instrument input rate all reached 100%. The thermal efficiency of the whole plant reached 48.3%, and the designed coal consumption for power supply was less than 263 grams per kilowatt hour, more than 20 grams lower than the current average level of million-level kilowatt units. The near-zero emission of major pollutants has truly achieved high efficiency and low emission, setting a new benchmark for domestic million-level units and playing a demonstration and leading role in the clean utilization of coal.


Phase II of CR Power Caofeidian Power Plant is located in Caofeidian New Port Industrial Zone, Tangshan City, Hebei Province. The unit, a one-time-reheat ultra-supercritical unit, adopts currently the most advanced clean coal-fired power generation equipment and technology, and the pioneering high-efficiency energy-saving equipment in the domestic thermal power industry such as a five-cylinder and six-exhaust steam turbine. It has introduced mechanical-furnace thermal coupling technology, the all-plant centralized frequency conversion energy-saving technology, the low-capacity high-efficiency operation technology, and the all-weather denitration technology and other environment-friendly technologies to achieve the goal of "ultra-low emission". After the completion of the unit, in addition to transmitting electricity to the Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu power grid, it will also utilize the low-heat steam of the unit to desalinate seawater, build a 300,000-ton-per-day seawater desalination plant, provide hot water to industrial and heating users and realize central heating in the industrial park, in the industrial park. It is of great practical significance to ensure the development and construction of power and thermal demand in Caofeidian region, advance the optimization of energy structure in Tangshan city, promote the prevention and control of air pollution, and effectively maintain the safe and stable operation of the power grid in North China.
