To make zero-carbon development a reality through integrated energy utilization

In November 2023, the Zero-Carbon Business Center Project jointly established by CR Power and Dalian LifeSpace was officially launched. The Center is intended to be the first zero-carbon business center in Dalian. In the Project, photovoltaic panels will be installed at the roof of the shopping mall to form a PV power station providing clean and renewable energy for the mall. The expected average annual power generation capacity is 715 MWh. A charging station will be built in the outdoor parking lot of the mall, containing 16 quick charging piles; the estimated annual charging capacity of the charging station is 940 MWh, which is equivalent to the electricity energy from 109,100 liters of fuel oil. Additionally, the utilities in the mall will be technically improved for energy saving, and the auxiliaries, such as the air conditioners, lights and elevators, will be upgraded, so as to enhance the energy utilization efficiency and reduce energy consumption and operational costs. After the improvement and upgrading, the annual electricity energy consumption of the mall can be reduced by up to 223.5 MWh. It is estimated that, after the Project completion, more than 1,700 t CO2 emissions will be reduced annually, and over 800 t standard coal can be reduced in consumption. The Project can provide comfortable and environmental-friendly shopping environment for people while fulfilling true zero-carbon environmental protection.

Moreover, to encourage citizens to actively participate in low-carbon actions, in the future, the Project will develop carbon-inclusive apps, such as those for walking, cycling or public transportation means, and give corresponding rewards and concessions based on emission reduction, encouraging more people to choose environmentally friendly travel modes and enjoy green and healthy lives together.
