On January 19, the winner list announcement of China Resources Group's 2023 Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievement Award was ended. CR Power's "Research on Key Technologies for Improving Reliability of Power Generation Equipment under the Background of New Power System" project won the first prize, which is the first time that CR Power has won this award.

The award, which is sponsored by the Science and Technology Innovation Department of China Resources Group and represented the highest honor for the group's scientific and technological innovation work, only set up one first prize. A total of 37 participated projects were recommended by various business units and directly affiliated institutions of China Resources Group. Since the awards were set up in 2021, CR Power has won one first prize, two second prizes, two third prizes and one winning award.

The "Research on Key Technologies for Reliability Improvement of Power Generation Equipment under the Background of New Power System" project was led by CR Power Technology Research Institute, and jointly completed by its subordinate enterprises including CR Power (Jinzhou) Co., Ltd. and CR Power (Tongshan) Co., Ltd. The project adopted digital and intelligent supervision means to facilitate accurate maintenance of key components and equipment of generating units, aiming to reduce unscheduled shutdowns and ensure safe and stable operation of the power grid. In the project, 4 industry standards and 1 group standard have been formulated; a core IP group of 1 monograph, 26 invention patents, 23 utility model patents and 1 software copyright has been formed; and 24 papers, 6 SCI and EI papers and 9 Chinese core papers have been published. The project achievements have been popularized and applied to 11 enterprises, yielding a direct economic benefit of approximately RMB 338 million. According to the appraisal organized by China Electricity Council, the project achievements have reached the international advanced level.

In 2023, CR Power implemented scientific and technological innovation work in a comprehensive manner with a focus on various tasks in the Group's "14th Five-Year Plan", unswervingly promoted the "Hundreds and Millions" Project, deployed a number of major scientific and technological projects, continuously improved the scientific and technological innovation system, and make breakthroughs in national-level scientific research project and platform construction. This award is also Group's full affirmation for power scientific research of CR Power.
